1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and TechKhedut Inc. (“TechKhedut”, “we”, “our” or “us”) for your use of PDF Reader: Scan, Edit & Sign (the “App”). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Licence to use the App
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the usage rules of the store you downloaded it from. You may use the App and the PDFs, scans and images you create with it for personal or work purposes.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Paid features & free trials
- The App is free to download. We may offer optional in-app purchases or an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional features shown in the App. Paid features may change over time.
- Prices, billing periods and any free-trial length are shown in the App and in the App Store or Google Play before you buy, and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- Auto-renewal: a subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Free trials: if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before a trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription, where applicable.
- Cancel or manage a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started, except in the exceptional cases described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. App Store refunds are processed by Apple; Google Play refunds are processed through Google Play.
- Use Restore Purchases in the App to restore an active purchase on a new or reinstalled device signed in to the same store account.
5. Advertising
The App may show advertisements from third-party ad networks. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for products, services or websites they link to. See the Privacy Policy for how ads use data and how to manage your choices.
6. Your documents & backups
- PDFs you import are copied into the App on your device, and the original file is left where it was. Damaged, empty and password-protected PDFs cannot be imported.
- Your library, folders, bookmarks, scans and saved signatures are stored on your device, not on our servers. You are responsible for backing up anything you want to keep, for example by saving copies to Files or a cloud drive. We cannot recover documents that are deleted from your device or lost when you uninstall the App, reset or change devices.
- Deleting a document, folder or signature in the App removes it from the App. Deleting a folder does not delete the PDFs in it unless the App tells you it will.
7. PDF tools & conversions
- Merge, split, compress, PDF to image, image to PDF, rotate, reorder, delete and extract pages run on your device and usually create a new copy, leaving the original unchanged unless you choose to remove it. Check the result before deleting an original.
- Compression results depend on the content of the PDF. File-size estimates shown in the App are approximate, and a compressed copy is saved only if it is smaller. The smaller settings may reduce image quality.
- How a PDF or image looks in other apps, viewers or printers depends on that software, and complex PDFs (for example with forms, layers, annotations or unusual fonts) may not convert or display exactly as in the original.
- Large documents need free storage space and may take longer to process on older devices.
8. Scanner & text recognition
- Edge detection, auto-capture, filters, page flattening and clean-up are automatic aids. Results depend on lighting, glare, focus, the paper and your device's camera, so review each page before saving.
- Text recognition (OCR) is performed on your device and may contain errors, especially with handwriting, small print, unusual fonts or low-quality images. Do not rely on recognised text without checking it against the original.
- The Clean up tool paints over areas of a scanned image. It does not securely redact text in other PDFs and must not be relied on to remove confidential information from documents you share.
- Scanning a document does not make it an official or certified copy.
9. Electronic signatures
- The Sign tool places an image of your signature, initials, the date or text onto a PDF. It does not create a certificate-based digital signature, verify anyone's identity, or provide an audit trail or tamper protection.
- Whether an electronically signed document is legally valid depends on the laws that apply to it and on what the other party accepts. Some documents, such as wills, property deeds or court and government filings, may require a handwritten, witnessed, notarised or certified digital signature. Check the requirements before you rely on a signature made in the App.
- Only sign documents you are authorised to sign, and only with your own signature or a signature you have permission to use. Do not use the App to forge or copy another person's signature.
- Keep your device secure, because anyone with access to it may be able to use your saved signatures.
10. Printing & sharing
- Printing uses AirPrint on iOS and the system print service on Android. Print results depend on your printer, its driver, paper and settings, and we do not guarantee compatibility with any particular printer.
- When you share, export or save a file outside the App, it is handled by the app, service or person you choose, under their terms.
11. Content rights & lawful use
- The documents, scans, images and signatures you use with the App are yours or are content you are responsible for. You must have the right to import, scan, copy, modify, convert, sign and share them.
- Respect copyright, confidentiality and privacy laws. Do not use the App to copy or distribute content you do not have the right to, or to scan identity documents or personal information of others without a lawful reason.
- Do not use the App to create, alter or forge documents, signatures, receipts, identity documents or records for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App or its services;
- bypass or attempt to bypass any purchase, licence or usage restriction in the App;
- use bots, scripts or automated means to access the App or its services;
- remove or alter any copyright or trademark notices.
13. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, text, graphics, icons and the “PDF Reader: Scan, Edit & Sign” name and logo, is owned by TechKhedut or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. “PDF” refers to the open file format and is used descriptively; we claim no rights in it. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks or content beyond the licence above, and we claim no ownership of your documents.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes and how you can control it, including your documents, permissions, advertising and analytics.
15. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and all content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, that scans, recognised text, conversions or compressed files will be accurate or complete, or that a document signed in the App will be accepted by any person or authority.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechKhedut and its affiliates, officers, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, documents, profits, time or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App, including reliance on scans, recognised text, conversions, signatures or printed output.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the App's paid features in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
17. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TechKhedut from any claims, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the App, the documents and signatures you create or share with it, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
18. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; remember to cancel any active subscription through your store account and to save copies of any documents you want to keep before you uninstall. We may suspend or end your access to the App, or to any feature, if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, will survive.
19. Apple App Store & Google Play terms

- these Terms are between you and TechKhedut only, not Apple, and TechKhedut, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content;

Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence, the courts of Rajkot, Gujarat, India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the App.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, let you know in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
